Examination

Multiple endoscopes for examination of the gastrointestinal and respiratory systems. These allow for direct visualization, biopsy and foreign body retrieval without the trauma of surgery. Rigid arthroscopes and laparoscopes for less invasive examination of joints and body cavities. Slit lamp biomicroscope for ophthalmic evaluations. Electromyelograph, to assist in diagnosing difficult nerve and muscle abnormalities.

Surgical
Three complete surgical suites equipped with cardiac monitors, blood pressure devices, pulse oximeters and gas anesthesia machines. CO2 surgical laser for painless tissue surgeries and advanced cancer therapy. Compressed nitrogen powered surgical power equipment used for orthopedic and neurological procedures. Vast array of surgical instruments allowing for all types of surgical operations. Stereo operating microscope for detailed vascular and ophthalmologic procedures.

Radiographic
Two digital x-ray machines,each in their own complete radiology suite. Video fluoroscopy to allow for motion studies. C-Arm computerized fluoroscopic procedure unit especially useful for cardiac and vascular examinations. CT Scan suite withDICOM Imaging, and multiplane computer image manipulation.

We also have boarding facilities and behavior modification programs.

Our boarding facility is capable of keeping pets comfortable and safe while their owner is away. Many of the animals we care for are in need of special medical attention not normally found in local boarding facilities.

Multiple levels of care can be arranged for allowing us to provide for all levels of boarding care. All areas are climate controlled and have natural light through multiple skylights throughout the facility. Clean, stress-free accommodations with attention to individual pets make our facility in high demand. (Reservations are recommended for holiday periods).

Our cage and run enclosures allow us to give each pet a large space, comfortably equipped and regularly monitored. Each dog is in an enclosed run area 4x10x6 feet high. In addition they are regularly taken to our large outside patio for exercise and diversion. We strive to make your pet as comfortable as possible while they are out of their normal home, and return them safely to you minimally stressed.

Boarding

Berkeley Dog & at Hospital offers comprehensive boarding and bathing services for both dogs and cats.  While your pets are vacationing with us, they sill enjoy uncompromising facilities.  With our 24-hour emergency facility, you can rest assured knowing that a veterinarian is on the premises at all times in case your pet needs these services.  Heated and air conditioned areas are provided, as well as a private outdoor exercise patio for canine residents.  These facilities, along with the warmth and compassion of our professional staff, promise to make your pet's stay at Berkeley Dog & Cat Hospital the next best thing to being home. Routine and therapeutic bathing services are available.
