Animal Hospital Policies | Special Veterinary Services
Special Veterinary Services is a referral and second-opinion practice. If your primary doctor has referred you to us for emergency services, diagnostic testing, and/or advanced treatment, we will respect the relationship you have with your regular veterinarian. We will only manage the condition for which your pet was referred, and we will direct you back to your primary care veterinarian for any future care. We are here to assist your family veterinarian in solving difficult or challenging conditions. We ask that all clients understand this and agree to this relationship by signing our initial check-in form.
With the exception of emergencies, SVS sees patients by appointment only. Emergency cases always receive top priority, followed by patients with previously scheduled appointments.
For your safety and others, all dogs must be on a leash and properly controlled while in the waiting area. Cats and pocket pets must be presented in an appropriate carrier.
