Position Overview:
Responsible for ensuring that clients that come to the hospital are greeted courteously, phones are answered promptly and routed correctly, and client payments are handled per hospital policies and standards. Supervises CSRs for the hospital and serves as a CSR.
Essential Functions:
- Work on the floor alongside the CSR team as a CSR.
- Supervise receptionists, including evaluating performance quarterly, reviewing time time and attendance monthly, holding team member accountable, enforcing company policies and communicating new practices and policies regarding reception duties.
- Conduct in person interviews and make hiring recommendations to the Operations Manager.
- Act as the primary trainer for CSRs; working with the Operations Manager to develop training program.
- Schedule receptionists according to staffing needs adhering to the budget provided by the Operations Manager.
- Coordinate and administer monthly CSR department meetings.
- Partner with Operations Manager to write non-medical hospital protocols.
- Oversee cleaning, stocking, and inventory for CSR department.
- Receive client complaints and concerns regarding reception, escalating issues to Operations Manager, as needed.
- Maintain specialist (non-emergency doctors) scheduling information to allow for proper appointment scheduling.
- Maintain department handbook of policies and procedures.
- Responsible for ensuring accuracy of all appointments scheduled in Cornerstone and holding team accountable for confirming all appointments.
- Ensure daily transactions balance correctly and elevate issues to Operations Manager as needed.
- Process refunds, returns, and credits, as needed.
- Manage hospital facility and CSR support tasks.

Position Overview:

Position Overview:
As a Veterinary Pharmacist, your primary responsibility is to oversee the pharmaceutical and inventory management processes within a veterinary clinic or hospital. This role involves ensuring the availability of essential medications and supplies, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and optimizing inventory levels to support efficient operations.
Essential Functions:
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Ordering medications and supplies in accordance with required stock levels.
- Matching purchase orders with invoices to verify correct item and quantities were received, entering items received and their costs in practice software.
- Daily coordination of the re-stocking of mobile veterinary units, practice pharmacy & large service initiatives.
- Weekly inventory check for specific items on mobile veterinary units.
- Monitor prescription inventory in all areas of the hospital for expired pharmaceuticals and rotate stock to prevent the dispensing of expired products.
- Participate in internal and external audits to assess compliance with regulatory standards • Proper inventory control, safeguard, costing, systematic & manual reconciliations and pricing/costing of products.
- Accountable for quarterly inventory count, process & reporting on all practice pharmaceuticals (mobile and in hospital).
- Verify a valid doctor-client-patient relationship exists before filling client clinic or on-line pharmacy orders.
- Prepare, package and distribute medications as approved by the Doctors following dispensing requirements for client’s treatment regime and simple compounding of solutions and ointments when necessary.
- Package and ship lab samples via fed-ex in accordance with each laboratory’s requirements
- Lab results sent to doctors.

- Meet with most vendor representatives, evaluate specials, collect information about new products and deal with returns

Position Overview:
The Registered Veterinary Technician supports hospital operations by providing dedicated quality veterinary care and exceptional service to our patients and clients. Responsibilities include providing patient care by determining animal requirements, conducting examinations and diagnostic procedures, assisting during surgery and operations, providing nursing care, assisting with feeding and caring for patients, maintaining medical supplies and equipment, overseeing triage and discharging patients, and maintaining patient medical records.
Essential Position Functions:

Position Overview:
The Veterinary Technician supports hospital operations by providing dedicated quality veterinary care and exceptional service to our patients and clients. Responsibilities include providing patient care by determining animal requirements, conducting examinations and diagnostic procedures, assisting during surgery and operations, providing nursing care, assisting with feeding and caring for patients, maintaining medical supplies and equipment, overseeing triage and discharging patients, and maintaining patient medical records.
Essential Position Functions:
- Determine animal requirements by conducting examinations and interviews, reviewing care plans and records, completing laboratory tests and studies, and diagnostic imaging.
- Care for patients by taking vital signs, collecting samples, administering medications, drugs, and vaccines, and bandaging and wrapping wounds.
- Support patient examinations and operations by assembling required supplies and instruments, securing and bringing patients to examination rooms, and restraining patients; aids as directed by the veterinarian.
- Provide excellent pet care by applying full knowledge of anatomy, physiology, disease processes, pharmacology, specialized equipment usage, and specialized drug administration.
- Obtain and verify medications.
- Ensure that patients have food and water, clean patients' rooms, cages, and equipment; observe patients for clinical signs of disease.
- As directed, fill prescriptions and administer medications, including proper documentation, logging, and security of controlled drugs.
- Maintain a safe, secure, healthy, and humane environment by sterilizing and wrapping instruments, sanitizing and disinfecting holding and operating areas, storing sterile supplies, verifying shelf life, following standards and procedures, and in compliance with applicable legal regulations.
- Maintain medical records by documenting patients’ conditions, reactions, and changes; update the database in an accurate and timely manner.
- Communicate with the pet owner about the status of the patient, as directed by the veterinarian.
- Maintain equipment by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining equipment supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs.
- Maintain inventory, place orders for needed supplies, verify, and maintain receipts.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional journals.
- Release pets to their owners as directed; ensure that every animal released is clean and properly groomed before their release.
- Understand and carry out oral and written directions.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Manager or practice.

- Provide extensive surgical assistance by preparing pets, scrubbing, shaving, acting as a surgical nurse, and operating specific surgical equipment and supplies.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Two or more years of experience with veterinary appointments, surgeries, and nursing care for hospitalized and critical patients.
- Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT), Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT), Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT), or the Licensed Veterinary Medical Technician (LVMT) preferred or as required by State.
- May consider an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience.
Position Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Knowledge of the preparation, monitoring, and recovery of pets receiving surgery, as well as basic pet nursing.
- Ability to demonstrate and follow correct procedures in catheter placement, phlebotomy, emergency medicine, and digital radiology.
- Understand and limit the potential exposure to bites, scratches, and potential injuries.
- Able to restrain patients according to standard procedures.
- Fill prescriptions and monitor sedation procedures as directed by the veterinarian.
- Ability to work with or around sick animals, potentially hazardous materials, cleaning chemicals, gas anesthetics, zoonotic diseases, and unpleasant odors.
- Display confidence and reassurance when dealing with pets experiencing severe stress, illness, or pain.
- Communicate and approach job duties in a professional and mature manner.

Responsibilities:
- Assessing and triaging emergency cases
- Providing emergency treatments and stabilizing critical patients per DVM orders
- Assisting DVM during emergency procedures
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed the DVM
- Monitoring vital signs and providing nursing care to patients
- Communicating with clients and providing updates on patients' conditions
- Maintaining accurate medical records and updating patient charts
- Assisting in sedated and anesthesia procedures as needed
- Assist DVM in basic restraint of patients during examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Maintain patient husbandry standards by cleaning and sanitizing kennels, cages, and equipment
- Assist with diagnostic procedures such as radiographs and laboratory tests
- Maintain accurate records of patient information and treatment plans
- Perform blood draw and IV catheter placement
Requirements
- Hold a valid CA RVT License
- High school diploma required; Associates in Veterinary Science or Veterinary Technology preferred
- Must have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Veterinary Technician
- Strong knowledge of veterinary medicine, emergency procedures, anesthesia, and pharmacology
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to multi-task and pay attention to detail
- Must be able to problem solve
- Must be able to work in a team as a positive team player
